Georgia Boot, PEAK Antifreeze and Crawford Supply return as sponsors including new multi-year deals
Clemmons, N.C. (Feb. 4, 2015) – Clint Bowyer Racing (CBR) is ready to defend its 2014 Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model title with the series’ first race of the season, the Georgia Boot Super Bowl of Racing, beginning February 5, in Brunswick, Ga., at Golden Isle Speedway.
“We obviously had a very successful 2014 and are ready to defend our championship,” said team owner Clint Bowyer, who will run in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season opening Daytona 500 on Feb. 22. “We head to Daytona soon to kick off the NASCAR season but I know where I will be this weekend and that’s watching my boys run in Georgia.”
Hall of Famer Steve Francis returns for his third year behind the wheel of the No. 15 CBR dirt late model carrying a renewed multi-year sponsorship with long-time partner Georgia Boot. In its fourth year with CBR, Georgia Boot has become a flagship sponsor in dirt late model racing with proven success on and off the track.
Veteran crew chief Anthony Burroughs returned to CBR in the offseason and serves as crew chief for Francis. Burroughs, a driver himself, spent last season racing regionally in the southeast after serving as crew chief for CBR in 2013
Returning as Francis’ teammate at CBR is 2014 Lucas Oil Late Model Series Champion Don O’Neal. O’Neal won the championship in October, beating three-time and defending series champion Jimmy Owens for the title and giving team owner Clint Bowyer his first championship.
PEAK Antifreeze returns as co-primary sponsor of the defending series champion in a another renewed, multiyear deal with CBR.
Crawford Supply serves as co-primary sponsor of the No. 5. The company has a deep-rooted history with CBR as Scott Crawford and the Crawford family was the first to step into a sponsorship role with the CBR dirt late model team in 2008.
Returning as O’Neal’s crew chief for 2015 is Jeremy Justice.
““The fact that we are able to announce our continued and long-term partnerships with Georgia Boot, PEAK and Crawford Supply says a lot about them and the hard work we put it in to try and provide them value both on and off the race track,” said Bowyer.
